Overview

Vivasoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer specializing in OpenShift and Kubernetes to join our core infrastructure team. This role is designed for an expert capable of designing, administering, and operating enterprise-grade container platforms at scale for high-stakes environments. You will be part of a high-performing platform engineering team, ensuring the resilience, security, and scalability of our modern containerized solutions across multi-site and multi-region deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Cluster Management: Design, deploy, and operate OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters across multi-site and multi-region environments (DC/DR).
  • Infrastructure Operations: Manage cluster bring-up, load balancers, DNS, certificates, and Operators (OLM, ACS, ACM, ODF).
  • Automation & DevOps: Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD and automate CI/CD pipelines with Tekton.
  • Security & Governance: Manage multi-tenant access, RBAC/SCC, network policies, Pod Security, and admission controls.
  • Storage & Resilience: Manage storage and disaster recovery using ODF and OADP/Velero; maintain DR runbooks and ensure RPO/RTO compliance.
  • Observability: Maintain full-stack observability using Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, and EFK/Loki while defining SLO/SLIs.
  • Lifecycle Operations: Manage the full platform lifecycle, including upgrades, patching, CVE remediation, etcd management, and root-cause analysis (RCA).

Requirements:

  • Strong foundation in Linux administration and container platforms.
  • Deep understanding of container networking (CNI, ingress, services, L4/L7).
  • Proficiency in YAML, Helm, Kustomize, and GitOps methodologies.
  • Practical experience with cluster security (ACS or equivalent), policy enforcement, and hardening.
  • Proven ability to work in large-scale, globally distributed enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to reason about complex, distributed systems.
  • 5–7 years of experience in Linux administration, with at least 3+ years of hands-on production experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.

Nice to Have:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or equivalent CKA/CKS certifications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with financial sector compliance and security standards.
  • Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio/Maistra).
