Overview
Vivasoft, a leading software outsourcing company, is seeking talented Mid-Senior SQA Engineers to join our dynamic team. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and translate those needs into effective software solutions. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior team members and ensure the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to review requirements and provide feedback.
- Perform manual testing for functional, regression, usability, cross-browser, and cross-device testing, including on real mobile devices and emulators/simulators.
- Implement and maintain automated test suites for mobile and web using tools such as Appium, Cypress, Selenium, etc.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality coverage.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and validate bug fixes across platforms.
- Design, execute, and analyze performance, load, and stress tests using tools like JMeter or Locust to ensure system stability and scalability under heavy traffic.
- Conduct basic security and vulnerability assessments (e.g., OWASP Top 10) to identify and mitigate potential security risks in web and mobile applications.
- Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and processes for improved test efficiency and coverage.
- Ensure timely reporting and tracking of bugs using tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
- Mentor and provide training assistance to Associate QA Engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in Software QA with a strong mix of manual and automated testing experience.
- Proven experience testing mobile applications (manual + automation) on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices across platforms.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium).
- Proficiency in writing test scripts in programming languages like JavaScript, Java etc.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust) and a solid understanding of performance metrics like response times, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Familiarity with security testing concepts, penetration testing principles, and standard vulnerability frameworks like OWASP.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API testing tools.
- Experience with source control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
