Overview

Vivasoft is seeking a highly specialized Integration & Middleware Engineer to join our enterprise infrastructure team. This role focuses on the core pillars of modern connectivity: WSO2 API Management, Identity Server (IAM), and Micro Integrator. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the digital glue that connects global applications, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance integration flows. As part of our middleware engineering unit, you will drive API governance and IAM modernization for enterprise-grade systems.

Responsibilities:

  • API Management (WSO2 APIM): Deploy and manage API Gateway, Traffic Manager, and Analytics components; implement throttling, caching, and rate limiting.
  • API Governance: Manage OAuth2/JWT security, subscription workflows, and the full API lifecycle via the Developer Portal.
  • Identity & Access Management (WSO2 IS): Configure OIDC/SAML SSO, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and adaptive authentication patterns.
  • IAM Operations: Implement SCIM-based Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) flows, role provisioning, and token lifecycle/key rotation.
  • Enterprise Integration (WSO2 MI): Build and operate mediation flows, transformations, routing, and complex error-handling logic.
  • Automation & Reliability: Implement GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines for integration artifacts and ensure full-stack observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
  • Resilience: Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) planning to meet stringent enterprise RPO/RTO objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with the WSO2 product stack (APIM, IS, and MI/EI).
  • Deep understanding of API security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
  • Experience building mediation sequences and data transformations (XML/JSON/Soap).
  • Hands-on experience with clustering, high availability (HA) setups, and performance tuning for middleware.
  • Proficiency in Java, Carbon, or Synapse configurations.
  • Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and secure communication (mTLS).
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex distributed integration flows.
  • More than 4 years of relevant work experience in middleware or integration engineering.

Nice to Have:

  • WSO2 Certified Professional or Expert status.
  • Experience with containerized WSO2 deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Knowledge of streaming integration using WSO2 Streaming Integrator or Kafka.
